Google Adsense On Housepricecrash.co.uk

Recommended Posts

I have noticed you have Google Adsense ads in the forum and following sentence below them:

"This is an advert post which helps to pay for the running of this website"

This is against Google's TOS and you will be banned from Adsense programme if they find out. Pointing attention to Google's ads is not allowed.

I'll give the mods 2 days to remove them or I'll report them. Previously I also told the mods that the often pornographic icons would drive people away, in fact it is also against the google rules....

Site may not include:

# Pornography, adult, or mature content

And I'm sure they would fall foul of

# Deceptive or manipulative content or construction to improve your site's search engine ranking, e.g., your site's PageRank

# Excessive advertising

# No Google ad may be placed on any non-content-based pages.

# Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads, and the ad colours must be such that any ad elements, including text and URL, are visible. (the side adverts often cover the google ads if the browser is resized)

# Up to three ad units may be displayed on each Web site page. (there are 4 on this page I'm looking at.

There was a lot of members (encourage by the mods) that added hidden urls in their footers. This is a well known way (especially in forums) to improve a sites ranking.

Well, I have reported this site, whether something happens or not I don't know.
