Newham Council Tackles Homes Shortage

On the corner of Battersea Rise & Lavender Gardens in SW11 stands a large end of terrace house that I've walked past for 9 years and that has always been empty. The house could easily be restored and is in a high demand area and therefore has value whether empty or full (and therefore there's no excuse for it not being sold).

For anyone who can walk past, it has a blue sign on it, which says Battersea, but the bottom half of the sign is ripped off. I know what the sign used to say, it used to say 'Battersea Labour Party'.

I find it both shocking and hilarious that all the years that John Prescott has talked about empty homes, this one has stood there derilict and empty. Down the road on Lavender Hill the labour party has new local headquarters, so there really is no reason to keep the building I've mentioned.
