Yes, you don`t often read negative articles on IO mortgages but the lenders love them, all that extra profit in their coffers.

I worked out a £200k mortgage over 25 years at a low average of 5% you would pay an extra £100k appx in interest over a repayment mortgage and still owe the £200k at the end. Just think what extra you would pay at an average of 8%. :(
