Residents Threaten Rebellion Over Maintainance Charges

Recommended Posts

not just the saving penny factor. most of these charges rise way above inflation and are mostly bunk.

major muppetery involved by all...

I know someone in a London block who started with a charge of £700, and within 3 years it had risen to £1800.

The residents formed an association to attempt to fight it, but the agent just ignored them. The agents farmed all of the maintenance contracts out to businesses owned by their family and friends at extortionate rates.

There was pretty much bugger all the residents could do about it without spending huge amounts of their own time, effort and money.
