Animated Adverts

As these adverts are deliberately designed to distract ones attention, did anyone give it one moments thought as to just how irritating they would be to anyone trying to read anything?

Simple if they distract you block them.

Is anyone else finding the side bar adverts a real pain?

The site seems slow here today?

Not a happy HouseDog

Yes they cause CPU spikes in internet explorer, making scrolling jumpy.

As well as being a distraction and taking up horizontal screen space.

EXTREMELY ANNOYING.

I found this free tool works pretty well for internet explorer

http://www.browsertools.net/Flash-and-Pics-Control/

Of course though, I'd imagine anyone new to this forum would probably run a mile once their browser lights up like a mutant fairground while they are trying to read stuff.

Great, thanks.

Although it doesn't seem to be able to save settings on a per-site basis.

Kind of annoying that you have to restart the browser everytime you

browse to another site with flash you actually want to see.

Maybe I will just have to use mozilla & that plugin for using HPC.
