Established Local Ea Adds Full Address To Adverts.

Recommended Posts

An established (one of the oldest in the area I think) EA in my local area has started adding the full address of the property to their ads on Rightmove.

WTF would they do that?

Only reason I can think of is that they are fed up with people calling them to find out the address so they can do LR data lookups (like I do!) and do a drive-by (without uzis!) before bothering to book a viewing.

Why do no other EAs seem to do this?

Example

Is it just because it was to be auctioned? Would be typical for an auction sale I believe.

Not just for auctions.

Almost all of the adverts added by this EA to Rightmove in the last 14 days has had the full address there (one exception, which was advertised at £800K ish but worth half that at most).

A few EAs round this area do that now.

Amongst those who don't its sometimes still possible to work out the address from the filename of the pics

eg if you right click a pic and the file's called something like "flat_a_no27_highst.jpg" :D

Because prior to the LR interweb lookup, they relied on BS and lack of info to push up prices. They are fast becoming DODOs. Hopefully starting with

those leaches Kristy & Phil.
