Repossession Orders Soar By A Third In Scotland

Recommended Posts

"REPOSSESSION orders handed out by Scottish courts have soared by more than a third in a year, raising fears about the impact of rising debt levels.

New figures show that 6,285 repossession decrees were disposed of in 2005 - up 34 per cent on the previous year, and up 50 per cent on 1990, the height of the last housing crash.

Oh no, Scottish devolution rant coming. Please ignore:

At least scot have better job market than rest of the UK

A large number of them are public sector jobs paid for by English taxpayers! Apparently we spend £1,034 more on each of them than we do on the English. And they still complain all the time. 'Could at least say thank you...

They want devolution. Why don't we give it to them? If would save us 30bn a year.

We could replace some of the funding with a charity - 'Save the Scottish' or something. I wouldn't mind that so much.

They're generally a nice bunch, apart from the ones spending our money. (Gordon Brown, John Reid, Alistair Darling, Lord Falconer, Des Browne, Douglas Alexander etc). Face it, if you're a scottish MP you need to get votes in your own scottish constituency. A good start would be to relieve the successful southeners of more of their money and direct it home. It gone from £16bn in 1997, to £30bn now, and will get bigger.
