Signatures And Avatars Being Optional

Recommended Posts

I use another bulletin board that has options in the User Profile/My Controls to turn off avatars and signatures if the user so wishes. For me the lack of signatures makes a thread more readable, and turning avatars off means the page can load faster sometimes. Just wondering if it might be worth considering implementing this functionality on this board.

FYI the board uses simple machines forum, but used to have the functionality on PhpBB through a plugin/addon.

You have the same function here.

Yeah, noticed that earlier. It's when google serves public services ads you can get it to show your own ads and it's got the wrong size one in the code. Steve is going to fix this in a minute....well spotted though :)

Good post.

Turned signatures "off" via board settings.

Don't usually mind them but some are a bit too long, especially when post after post on same thread..

Scrolling an extra mile per day isn't fun, when so many bearish events are happening, and need to maximise reading time.
