Property Supplement In Saturday's Leicester Mercury

Recommended Posts

I haven't gone over it with a fine tooth comb, but there is something unusual in the property supplement in last Saturday's Leicester Mercury (the local paper).

There are just pages and pages and pages of advertisements for newbuild flats and houses. Quite a few conversions too. Puff articles saying how newbuilds are ideal for first time buyers. Puff pieces saying how it was amazing that newbuild development prices had held up, attributing this to the developers making good use of discounts and incentives.

But nothing that I noticed on BTL.

Odd, I thought. Clearly the advertising (and the articles are advertising too) are aimed at their target market. So, why so much emphasis on FTBs and almost none, or none, on BTL?
