India's Stock Exchange Stops Trading

Trading has been stopped at the Bombay Stock Exchange

Trading has been suspended in India's Bombay Stock Exchange after share prices fell 10%, its biggest ever drop.

The benchmark 30-share Sensex index tumbled by more than 1,000 points amid heavy selling by both domestic and foreign funds.

Looks like a fun day on the markets for us then. I'll be glued to Bloomberg all day then.

What on Earth is causing this? Nothing has really changed in the last few weeks....

.... or could it be that unwinding of carry trades and drying up of liquidity is bursting the global bubble?
