Larger Warning Type

Recommended Posts

Has anyone noticed the bigger bolder type used at the end of Mortgage offers?

EXAMPLES

Think carefully before securing other debts against your home.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

They use to be very small and difficult to read didnt they?

The time to get really excited is when they start refusing to lend more than 50% of the asking price.

They have a more subtle way of doing this. They offer a loan on the basis 70% and then get the surveyor to put in a low valuation. If you then want to raise 70% on the agreed price, they make you take out an insurance policy.

I was thinking along the lines of "well we did warn you"

Like the warning "may contain nuts" on a packet of nuts
