Flatmate is moving into his 2 bed FTB flat this weekend. I/O, a couple of hundred month more than he'd be paying in rent for our 2 bed flat - more central, nicer area etc.

I've backed off buying somewhere and was pretty confident I was going to be in a better position later this year if the market softened - not paying the asking price, doing some haggling.

I'm still convinced that trouble is round the corner but the recent financial news doesn't look that good and I reckon they're going to be able to string this out for a while longer yet.

My friends are still inccredulous that I've stopped looking for a while. 'It's only going to get more expensive later on etc' People simply can't understand it.

Oh well, guess I'll have to spend my time looking for moderate high yield investments for my savings as they're doing squat in the bank.
