Whatever you think of this chap I can think of no reason on earth why someone can't peacefully in sight of the seat of power.

ID cards, national identity register, banning protest, trial without jury, bill to give any tinpot minister legislative power added on top of previous Tory clampdowns on the right to free assembly.

The apparatus of state repression have never been so great.

How it became necessary to destroy democracy in order to save it.

Democracy? I wonder if they even know the meaning.

Democracy?

The Country is run by the Public School Oligarchy as it has always been

NU Labour are as "establishment" as it is possible to be

It is not possible for an individual to speak freely if it is an embarassment to those in power (whether you agree with him or not)

Keir Hardy would have eaten his cap

You see we, the majority, made the mistake of having never beheaded our Aristocracy.

The recent law banning demonstrations in the vicinity of parliament has always been about embarrassing parliament, and sometimes noise disturbing it. Could also be the tourist lobby. What is very worrying about this law is the necessity to apply to the police for permission, as though the metropolitan police are the fair arbiters what is reasonable (see shooting on underground and subsequent lies). It is unfair to make this a police issue. It is a political issue and fobbing off the decision making to the police is a shift of responsibity from the legislature to the executive, itself a serious breach of the British Constitution.

Slippery slope this. It is only a matter of time before thousands of city councils jump on the bandwagon and apply to ban all demostrations within 3 miles of each county hall, including perfectly legitimate objections to exponential rises in council tax and parking scams etc etc. And then who knows, no location will ever be far enough away from any tangible area of population.

Soon there will be a law to ban protests sited in mid-channel, but you will still be able to F$$$k up the property market by exploiting it for personal greed with complete impunity.

Sorry, perhaps I should have said Monarchy and Aristocracy.

Have no doubt that, in spite of our so called "Democracy" and some history of struggle for emancipation and suffrage, the elites, both political and financial, have little fear for their continued dominance.

I’m a great believer in things often need to get worse before they get better and what I see happening is Mr Job Public is now maxed out on credit and by the time he realised he has a problem it’s too late to sell his house as no one is buying, he wants to pay down his debt but his job gets taken by an immigrant and before he knows what’s happening he’s on the streets and his misses has left him.

Now Joe has lot’s of time to contemplate what went wrong, what was his fault and was he deceived by others, in effect he needs to take control of his life and now he’s focused and ready for a fight.

People will only take so much and then they will unite and bring the systems down that enslave them just as it has in history, things will change else we are all fuc$ed
