Shot Myself In The Foot?

Recommended Posts

I left the UK in 99 following uni to try something different and work abroad - during that time I've been priced out of the UK market.

Two years ago I bought in Belgium my first property... a nice little detached house in the country with land for my horses and for only twice my salary.

Now I'm scared that a) if we're in for a *** I'm f*cked and B) how can I go from this to a crappy flat in the UK? :(

Any thoughts?

We used to live in the north east of Scotland where property prices were loads lower than in the south east of England. The house price crash began in the south east allowing us to sell our home in Scotland at a good price so that we could pick up a bargain. We couldn't have afforded to move south otherwise.

Look for that slot because a house price crash probably won't happen at the same rate in Belgium and England. Hopefully England will go first. Good luck.
