They discussed student loans and credit card debt, but there was only a brief (somewhat awkward) mention of mortgages being "in effect" another form of debt.

IMPO the BBC's News 24 business reporting has gone downhill since they had had, ahem, what appears to be a change of staff. I personally am not impressed by that blode haired young woman and always reach for the channel zapper when she comes on.
