Investing In Startup?...

Recommended Posts

I have acquired a large piece of greenbelt land in Rural Scotland and was wondering whether anyone thinks it would be a good/stupid idea to invest in starting an 'Organic Vegetables' business?

Thoughts? I know the outlook for business at the moment isn't very bright, but this 'back to basics' business might work in the coming Global Economic Slowdown - people need food after all!

I think it is very hard to make a living on agriculture at the moment - the price gap between organic foods and non-organic is fairly large even in a supermarket.

What i think would be great is to have someone who deals in organic food and can deliver to your door. I really wish we had thats service somewhere near me. I would definately pay a premium for that service.

Also think about marketing. Where i am right now there are links between non-organic foods and harm caused to unborn children. Since this has been popularised the amount of food that is being sold as organic is incredible...

Anyway - good luck with what you what ever you do.
