First Time Buyers; If All Else Fails Go To Church And Pray

Recommended Posts

Dear Lord, has it come to this. The Church really shouldn't really screw around in this area, it isn't some theological game... at least in a few years they'll be guaranteed a stream of downtrodden and broken FTB'ers seeking forgiveness, but of the wrong kind.

Amen. Nothing new under the sun.

Guest Bart of Darkness

I bank with the Black Monks of St. Herod ("Banking with a smile and a stab").*

*This is a whole of life policy. The whole of your life is at risk if you fail to repay any loan secured on it. Life expectancy may go down as well as up. Failure to repay is a sin and the Black Monks HATE SIN!

Nehemiah 5:3-5 (New International Version)

3 Others were saying, "We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards and our homes to get grain during the famine."

4 Still others were saying, "We have had to borrow money to pay the king's tax on our fields and vineyards. 5 Although we are of the same flesh and blood as our countrymen and though our sons are as good as theirs, yet we have to subject our sons and daughters to slavery. Some of our daughters have already been enslaved, but we are powerless, because our fields and our vineyards belong to others."

except today we're mortgaging for 4x4s and holidays. Nothing new about the taxes, though.
