Double Ea Boarded Houses

Recommended Posts

Guest Guy_Montag

I was driving round the highways & byeways of County Durham today checking out potential places to buy after the great crash has happened.

I noticed there seemed to be more double boarded houses, before I got bored, I counted 25 houses with boards, of which 6 had two boards.

Making c. 1 in 4 houses for sale on with two estate agents.

What are the benefits & drawbacks with selling through two agents.

I presume that if you don't feel your current agent is doing a good enough job, you instruct a new one to act on your behalf. But why have two working at the same time? And what is the cost of this?

thanks in adance

We refuse to take on joint agency agreements because the likelyhood is that the buyer will be registered with us anyway. TBH it's a waste of time and they usually end up paying more in commision.

Sooner rather than later EA's will have to start selling instead of order taking and that will seperate the men from the boys iyswim.
