Hips - On Bbc If Rics Agents Developers And Krusty

BBC has been discussing HIPS this morning.

The seller will be required to pay £1,000 up front for a pack which must be renewed every three months. Is the real reason they are all the VIs are against the packs the possibility that sellers will start to realistically price their properties in order to sell in the first three months?

The packs will also introduce a time dependency into the selling process which buyers may exploit by putting in low offers just before the sellers pack expires.

Interesting to see that she isn't afraid to put the boot into "Vested Interests" :)

Can`t watch it, however, it`s interesting that it has become such a massive subject, politically it`s very hot atm. We are fed a constant stream of pro and anti HIPS material in the form of press releases. The main HIPS lobby has the most active property pr company pushing their agenda, I`m currently establishing who is funding them. Despite the fact I`m very pro HIPS I`m fascinated to know why <_<
