Rant Alert: The South Migrates North For Profit.

Recommended Posts

I live in one of the cheapest parts of (northen) England to buy property. As FTB's we've been trying to get a home for the last year or so. The prices here have dipped somewhat and all `was' looking pretty promising. We have now been gazumped three times this year by people migrating into the town from `down south', two of which were buying properties to develop and rent, one selling his house for over £400K and buying a similar sized property here for £170K.

We cannot match their offers because of the money they have in selling their properties, every counter-offer we promote gets knocked back with an even higher one from the other potential buyers.

Whichever way we seem to turn, we're ******ed! :(

 what short memories people have. Teesside's economy is unfeasably hollow. The only industry of any real substance remaining there is handling the rest of the world's toxic waste.

Still, they're all "property millionaires" now, renting out their slums to smackheads, so why worry?

Personally, I'm no where near Teeside.

In a part I'd much rather keep to my self.

Greedy b@st@rd, and you have the cheek to rant at Southeners. ;)

House prices are going up in my area ....but I'd rather not say where.....come on get real if we all posted without saying which area it related too, what's the bloody point in that.

Plus I can write bigger than you :P
