Milton Keynes Crash

Haven't noticed this topic started by anyone. But I'm sure you've all seen the scaffold collapse of fifteen stories in a major contruction in the center on Milton Keynes.

This contruction due to for completion in June this summer would have seen a luxury hotel including shops and bars with a contruction of luxury flats sitting behind, being built in Midsommer Beulivard.

There are rumours and I say only rumours that shortcuts may have been taken in safety measures to make sure the complex was finished in time.

One chap on the telly is devasted as he has already paid his deposit for one of the luxury flats.

If the rumours are true..........can we say greed anyone? :(

It was the scaffold that collapsed not the buildings!!!.

Overloading a scaffold is not uncommon by any standards, it happens all the time.

Just been a builder on telly and he said that it was probably a fault in a join on the scaffolding, and all it took was the windy conditions this morning to bring the rest down.

Luckily there are no fatalities according to the police. But although three workers were rescued the scalffolding collapsed on top of the worker huts. so they have just brought in the sniffer dogs.

I can see the building from my window.

(The side that used to have the scaffolding on it).

The rest of the building looks very much OK.

Can't see it affecting the eta on the build by too much.
