Stick For Measuring Real Inflation

Thought I'd share it with You: last week I bought a cheapest glue stick for 59p whereas about 18 months ago the same product was available for 20p. In fact, I still have the old one left over by occasion and therefore can make a direct comparison.

Same shop, same brand. I think that it's nearly 100% made from oil so here we go with plastics, etc... Recent rise in business rates could also have contributed to this as well, many shops is town centre are announcing "Closing Down Sale" or have already closed.

Don't think this stick will make it into CPI though... :rolleyes:
