Up To 1,000 Possible Nhs Direct Jobcuts-

Recommended Posts

1 in 7 (in some trusts) are going to lose jobs in nhs - so they said on the news... cos of the current financial crisis.

I'd love to see figures for all the levels of staff... see how many middle managers there are...

Health is really important...

Does nhs direct save people ringing out the docs?

They could call centre it out to india or china - save loads.... be worse for the economy though

No Pension when i get old

NHS is already a joke

Schools are crap

Why do you guys pay 30 Income tax + 11% NI + vat on anything that moves

don't you think it's time to stop filling the pockets of MPs and take control of your life.

The MAFI would demand less i thinks

They could just have NHS direct fully automated

ring the coughing helpline - press 1 for chesty cough, press 2 for dry cough etc

ring the diahorrea helpine

ring the childrens illness helpine

then a voice message comes up telling you what to do

its all about following chart diagrams

WTF have they got 54 call centres? Surely telephone operators don't need to be locally based ? More waste !

NHS Direct only have 22 'main' call centres ... the rest are satellites. Technically all call centres work from a national queue, so telephone operators aren't necessarilly 'locally-based', but it certainly helps to have an element of 'local knowledge' when dealing with the 'health information' calls!
