Dumbing Down Inflation Figures

An interesting article from iii.co.uk

Just looking back at some of my own household and business expenses I find, for example, that my income protection insurance premium has risen 6%, private health insurance is up by over 9%, household insurance up by 29%, train travel to and from London up by probably around 10% on average. My costs of dental care are likely to be multiples of what I previously spent, due to the non-availability of any NHS dentist within reasonable reach.

The comments are worth reading too.
