Environment and Climate Change Co-ordinator Transport for London Who are they going to get, King Canute (poor track record of success but at least he's experienced) I found this one so incredible, and looked at the job ad and the nub of it is . . . . . Engaging staff in our change agenda and providing senior management with opportunities to maintain a dialogue with staff WOW !!! Whatever would any manager do without one ? Does this mean the FCO will diversify away from employing white ex public schoolboys still hungry for the return of the British Empire that they studied in their school days?? dog
Its disturbing that many of the adverts seem to be touting for people of a certain political persuasion. They are effectively warning prospective candidates that they will have to be far left and very PC to fit in. Using the offer of employment (especially at these princely salaries) in such a politicaly biased way is as bad if not worse than selling seats in the House of Lords. These two jobs just amaze me: Director (Networks)-Initiating, Developing and Supporting Networks, Higher Education Academy £62,250-£67,925 Director (Institutions)-Developing and Supporting Institutions Higher Education Academy £62,250 - £67,925 They have invented one totally pointless job and then duplicated it. It is almost as if they want to demonstrate that they have the power to do what ever they want with tax payers money. It is almost as if they want to demonstrate that they have the power to do what ever they want with tax payers money. Well it's inventing highly-paid jobs for your mates I reckon. It would be really interesting to see how many of these jobs are awarded to 'internal' candidates, i.e. the best mate of the bloke/bird on the other side of the interview table. The same kind of thing went on in American high-tecs during the dot com boom wherein everyone was a 'VP' of something or other and these posts were created and filled overnight. Seems to me the same kind of 'nepotism' has come to the UK public sector. I think a new website is called for to ruffle a few feathers..!
