8.1 Million Funding Available To Private Landlords In Derby

Recommended Posts

Those who know Derby well, would know majority of the funding previously went to improving homes in the Rosehill area of Derby, badly needed and much improved area now.

From the Derby Evening Telegraph

"Now the East Midlands Regional Housing Board is handing out 28 million as part of Government plan to bring properties with vulnerable residents upto a decent standard. The money will be spent on structural improvements. Repairs will be carried out and kitchens and bathrooms will be modernised."

I personally do remember when the rosehill area was being done up. Once the ear marked a particular street, the entire street would get the grant. Entire streets had new roofs and front garden walls etc. Although we never got any grants previously, one of our houses in the normanton area did benefit from a grant, new roof / rewiring, I beleive they renovated the bathroom as well.
