2 Million Households "on Finnancial Knifedge"

Recommended Posts

FSA report

"Two million households are living on a financial knife-edge, susceptible to an economic downturn, a Financial Services Authority (FSA) survey has suggested.

A further half million households are already having difficulty paying bills and meeting debts, the report found."

It's fairly light in tone, this report. But what I take from it is - we only need a couple of clicks in the IR or 1% on income tax or one successful attack on a Saudi oil facility for things to get very hard for a lot of unfortunate people who've stretched themselves to "get on the ladder". What are the chances of none of these things happeneing in the next 12-18months?
