Whatever Is The Matter With This Property?

Recommended Posts

At the risk of being an unsympathetic snob, chavs who can't even be bothered to turn the telly off when their agent comes round to photograph the house really don't deserve to find a buyer.

The average for terraced in EN5 (Barnet) for this sort of 'hell holes' is around 260k.

You're forgetting, this is East Barnet, otherwise known as the a**e end of Barnet (and this is the a**e end of East Barnet too). High or New Barnet might be able to ask for 260K, but definately not East Barnet.

Of the last few houses we went to see before settling on the one we're buying (actually, they settled on us - seems our previous offers were too low, but that's another story...) two had absolutely filthy toilets. Both seperate from the main bathroom, so enclosed spaces. We couldn't bring ourselves to do more than stick out head around one the other was so bad we only had to open the door - so I'm only guessing it was dirty from the smell.

So much for freshly brewed coffee and baking bread

Actually, this house looks alright, for £120 k anyway. You wouldn't get anything like that around here unless it was in an area patrolled by mounted police.
