The Lock Box Boom

The Lock Box Boom

Lock Boxes an explanation.

Lock Boxes are used by absentee owners to secure keys to their property where they can be easily accessed by Estate Agents etc. The practice seems most common in the US where the Multiple Listings System means many different agents might require keys to show potential buyers a particular property.

The condominium boom in the States has resulted in many flippers being landed with condos that are proving difficult to sell. Anyone who follows the US market will be aware of the massive rise in inventory of unsold property. Well a picture paints a thousand words and here’s that picture. A couple of dozen lock boxes secured to a bench outside a condo development in Washington DC.

Maybe not an iconic image; but one that puts flesh on the bones, of the after effects of a speculative boom.

My advice corner the market in Lock Boxes. :)
