i bet everyone on this site two cents they never mention that the prices are out of kilter.

They have to be the most obvious scapegoat admittedly. For most sheeple, the economics of the housing market don't extend much beyond the office of an EA and what their Dad/mate/bank manager/insert whoever/ told them.
