Tommy Sheridan Fails In Attempt "to Expose Msp's

Homes disclosure attempt rejected

Tommy Sheridan has failed in a bid to force MSPs to disclose whether they have bought houses in Edinburgh under a Holyrood allowances scheme.

MSPs on the Members Interests Bill Committee voted unanimously against Scottish Socialist member's amendment.

They said that if he wished to change the rules he should do by means other than an amendment to that bill.

Mr Sheridan claims seven MSPs have benefited financially by buying and selling property under the scheme.

If you want to write to your MSP to find out why we can't have information to see if MSP's are speculating on the Edinburgh property market using tax payers money... use this link;
