Confidence boost as home prices steady

THE housing market continued to stabilise during February, with Worcester prices
virtually unchanged from the month before
, according to the latest housing market survey.
A poll by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors showed buyers had some renewed interest in the market, with
enquiries rising slightly
last month and agreed sales continued their slow increase.
The majority of chartered surveyors in Worcester reported
no change in prices during the three months to February
. However, 14 per cent said that prices were on the increase, reflecting a more optimistic outlook for the local market.

RB,

Whilst nice houses in nice areas at the right price appear to be selling (sort of) - there's plenty that isn't shifting AND reductions in asking prices to be had.

I'm still seeing reductions in asking prices of up to 20% most weeks... I've got a thread going on the main forum that I'll update with this week's reductions.

Alan.
