Help Please.

Recommended Posts

This must be about my fifth topic called help, I wonder if I'm becoming over dependent on HPC?

My family and I are relocating from the Southeast to Cornwall because I have a new job in the St Ives area.

After visiting a few letting agents we were a little disappointed, it would seem that although the prices are reasonable suitable properties are in short supply.

Whilst I pointed out to Mrs. Bandylegs that it suited the agents for us to be concerned that there wasn't a big market it did seem that they were not falling over their selves to take our details, nor did they offer us big lists of accommodation.

I'm going to put a few notices on Cornish message boards and we shall hassle the agents almost daily. Further to this does anybody have any ideas for us?

Hi Bandylegs

I guess St Ives, being full of mostly holiday property, probably don't offer much in the way of suitable rental for a family. However, you may find something further out? (eg Truro, Helston Penzance etc) where you may have more choice. I would scan the local papers, as you will find many 'private' landlords advertise in these - Cornish Guardian, The West Briton etc you will find links to them on the following website:
