Rate hikes weigh on German investor confidence in March: ZEW

MANNHEIM, Germany (AFP) - Investor confidence in Germany, the eurozone's biggest economy, declined unexpectedly this month
amid concerns about the negative economic effects of rising interest rates
The ZEW economic research institute's economic expectations index, based on a poll of 311 analysts and institutional investors, fell by 6.4 points to plus 63.4 points in March, ZEW said in a statement.
The decline took analysts by surprise -- concensus forecasts had been pencilling in a rise in the ZEW index this month to around 71 points.

No much scope for spreading the British HPI disease to Germany anytime soon?
