Pfft...thought it was something exciting then

More exciting than watching your highly leveraged BTL make a paltry 4% p/a at most and just about match inflation.

Not in the Gulf area.

Saudi's TAS is down about 5%, thanks to speculators getting hit with margin calls etc

Luckily not an area I am big in. Done quite nicely in Japan, Korea, US, Europe and UK. In seriousness, daily movements are of no real relevance to me as I am not daytrading but like the BTLers I suppose occasionally it is nice to look at my notional assets (priced a bit more reliably by the market than residential property) .
