Leveraged Investments?

Recommended Posts

The great thing about the whole BTL market was that you could buy an investment with very little capital (say 10%) and borrow on the rest. In a rising market your return on investment could be huge.

Whilst I missed the whole BTL market through being a skint graduate, I would appreciate if someone explain to me any other types of leveraged investments that are in existence.

I believe Investment trusts borrow to invest where as your basic Unit trust doesn't. How do Investment funds work? How can you analyse the Investment Trust Price as I believe these fluctuate?

Also do property funds/ REITS do the same, i.e borrow to increase the funds value?
