Hi all,

Has any of you wonderfull people got any experiences with the ICICI Bank. http://www.icicibank.co.uk/index.html 5.03% Gross, Monthly Interest

1) Is it safe to put the STR funds in etc.

2) Are they good at handling the transaction processes etc, has anyone had any problems with them.

Its just their rate of interest is very good, but are they on par wth the service of the High street in the UK.

See this thread and work your way back through it. Some people are happy and others not.

Use that site to find other providers with high interest rates. Many people split large funds into different accounts due to FSA compensation limits.

EDIT:

Just to add I have had an ICICI account from the start. They are a bunch of incompetent idiots who I wouldn't touch with someone else’s. My money is mainly with A+L @ 5.15% gross p.a./AER (variable) includes bonus of 0.90% until 31.03.07

When the rate drops I will shift elsewhere. Limit is £25k though.

Regular savers are good also but take time to fill. I have 8% Cheshire and 5.40% Derbyshire. Some do 10% but are quite limited in how they work. These are probably not much good to you tho it depends how long you intend to hold the cash.

Hi all,

I've had absolutely no problem with them. Opened an account in January and haven't had a hitch. The interest shows in the account so I've no concerns about that.

Their web interface is far cleaner and easier to use than Cahoot. Much the same as ING really but the interest rate is obviously better.

Xil.
