LONDON, March 8 (Reuters) - European shares extended losses on Wednesday as concerns over the future direction of global interest rates hit investor sentiment and several UK blue-chip stocks including bank Lloyds TSB (LLOY.L: Quote, Profile, Research) traded ex-dividend.

LONDON, March 8 (Reuters) - European shares extended losses on Wednesday as concerns over the future direction of global interest rates hit investor sentiment and several UK blue-chip stocks including bank Lloyds TSB (LLOY.L: Quote, Profile, Research) traded ex-dividend.

I took some money off the table in stocks yesterday on the basis that IR are headed up worldwide and savings rates are looking more attractive while waiting on the sidelines for bargains (housepurchase). IN the US labour costs are rising guaranteeing stiffer Fed action--IMHO a .5% hike next time is possible.
