Sector movers: Miners and Real Estate crumble

LONDON (ShareCast) - Miners stood out among the losers today as lower metal prices hit Antofagasta (LSE: ANTO.L - news) , Rio Tinto (LSE:

RIO.L - news - msgs) and Xstrata .

Real Estate also fell after Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER - news) downgraded a raft of property stocks. Liberty International , Great Portland Estates (LSE: GPOR.L - news) , and Unite were reduced from 'buy' to 'neutral' on valuation grounds by the broker.
Land Securities (LSE: LAND.L - news - msgs) and British Land (LSE: BLND.L - news - msgs) fell in sympathy.

The money is getting out of property it seems. How longe before the sheeple follow?
