The legal minimum for an Assured Shorthold Tenancy.

Why rent through an agent? They scam you for a load of fees and then add a 10%+ tax to your rent. Better to rent direct from a long established landlord. Have a look at the adverts in the local papers. Better still, get your feet on the street and look at the adverts in shop windows -- much the best way of finding a decent home at a reasonable rent.

I see it is a BTL with "No Chain" must mean another Landlord has read the signs and is getting out. My local rag is full of "no chain" for sales today--the most I have seen in weeks.

What does it mean "No Chain"? He's selling up because he has split with his girlfriend...They bought it for £160k less than two years ago (37, SK4 3DD).

It means that the person selling doesnt have to wait for anyone to sell thier house to complete the sale.

If you buy a house then the person who owned it needs to move into another house and so on, if one person in that chain of people has problems then everyone in the selling chain has problems.

Alot of house sales have chains infact i would say that chains are the norm.
