Its Not Just House Prices That Fell

Recommended Posts

By Ross Finley

LONDON (Reuters) - House prices fell for the first time in eight months in February as consumer confidence slipped and retail sales declined more sharply than expected, casting some doubt on a household-led economic revival.
Separate data from the Confederation of British Industry showed that retail sales fell more than expected in February, putting its sales balance at -18 compared with -11.

Anecdotal: I went into Evesham today and noted 6 shops had closed or are going out of business in the small enclosed shopping precinct that has about 20 shops in total including an anchor M & S "Just Food" store.
