Powerhouse Also Closing Some Of Their Stores

Recommended Posts

I went down to Cardiff Bay this morning and Powerhouse was no more. It was right next door to Furnitureland which also closed a few weeks back.

I had no idea that it was closing but I just found this rather funny story below.

The shop was fairly packed out with all the new plasma and lcd tv's the other week. Looks like another company that's in trouble.

Rubbish stores, hardly any staff around.

Poor service and everything is far more expensive than on the internet..... they weren't going to last too long were they.

they've always been an also-ran to Dixons and Comet.

Being ripped to shreds on Watchdog tonight won't be welcome - remember what happened to Yes Car Credit - it's amazing how many people catch the last ten minutes before they get their Eastenders fix.

Never bought anything from PowerHouse, not so much an also ran more a never made the starting gate.

Those sitting at home watching their shiny new plasma, complete with Monster cables, Monster mains conditioner, extended warranty and Buy Now Pay Later agreement must feel they have been taken for a ride.

One thing that puzzled me - PowerHouse were named as the third worst retailer , but weren't Dixons and Comet named as the two worst in the same survey a few weeks ago ? Especially as all three are up to the same tricks anyway !
