Britain`s biggest building society sent shudders through the estate agency industry today with a warning that the traditional spring rush of homebuyers could fail to materialise this year.

Shock For The EA Industry

House prices fell in February for the first time in eight months after a strong start to the year, a report said on Tuesday, suggesting a recent pick-up in the property market may not be sustained.

That took the annual rate of increase down to 3.7 percent from 4.4 in January.

so we have had years of vi ramping the house buying market now we will have to endure plenty from the house renting sector same old reasons wheeled out,get renting now before they all go,theres a shortage of rental properties blah blah first time buyers cant afford to buy therefore great demand from them blah blah re-create the stampede to buy to the stampede to rent......p.s dont tell anyone though, there is a glut of places to rent and more coming on stream everyday so no rush :D:P:D
