Eas And Builders Bombarding Me With Property Info And Phone Calls

Recommended Posts

Last week I was contacted and mailed by more EAs than ever before - and some housebuilders as well - Bovis, etc.

Interesting. Obviously things have slowed right down in property land.

Nope, more like you've stuck your head above the parapet and told them you are looking to buy. Like all good salespeople they are therefore chasing you. You have brought this on yourself, and you are guilty of trying to spin an alternative meaning out of it. Pretty poor attempt, me thinks, because you have absolutely no evidence or believable theory that a price crash is imminent or even on the horizon.

Desperate times for a desperate bear.

Sounds like the Battle of the Bulge scenario. The "enemy" have lost the war but make the final push to try to win the last battle against overwhelming odds. Those who think they can eliminate the economic cycle are delusional.

OK.

Am I the only one on this site who has great difficulty taking this bloke seriously? I'm sorry - but an avatar of some ageing porn star holding a car her beer between her tits... NICE

Education, education, education... Guess that ripple effect from London washed right over you :P

Still, I do enjoy your trolling. It's nice to see your doing your little bit to keep the north/ south divide alive.

Now off you go and walk your whippet. Chop chop.

(apologies to the other Northerners on this site - this is not directed to you at all. I'm just surprised that "im oop North" manages to type with only one free hand...)

We've been contacted by loads of them recently too. One of them asked me what my upper limit was so I told him. He then said, 'so you want one or two bedrooms', I said 'no, four or five, but I don't mind detached or semi'. Still waiting for the details to come through...

Let me put it this way - I viewed a Bovis property last year (August I think) and was so disgusted by the development in Bridgend that I never made contact with them again. On the housing front, yes I've been registered with a number of EAs for a number of years and it's usually rare for any of them to contact me (probably have me down as a time-waster or something  ). They only contact me if they're desperate I can tell ye. I'm not sure sure I'm a desperate bear - I don't think the downturn will bite until late 2006-2007, as I've written many times.

BTW, told Bovis I wasn't interested in one of their delightful properties as it looked like interest rates were going up (he he he).

You should check out this site http://www.housepricecrash.co.uk I think you'll find it informative.

As for your other comments, since house prices will continue upward forever, what effects do you think this "golden" scenario will have on the rest of the economy.

So everybody "Imupnorth" (if he was he'd see prices and sales volumes heading south :D ) will now explain how HPI can continue indefinately without any other economic consequences.

So Imupnorth, over to you.......

If that guy has been contacted by new homes salespeople, that does mark a new trend

they haven't sold anything for 10 years, unless you count order taking as salesmanship

I've been meaning to ask you; are your boobs real? I can't make it out.

As for the 30 year old sheeple nimbies owning-for-five-years-in-Cheshire: You can take the blue pill, wake up and believe whatever you want to believe, or you can take the red pill and I show you how deep this rabbit hole goes... ;)

EDIT: My bear is real.
