Odd...

A local estate agent has managed to sell about 6 houses in my area over the past year or two.

In the past week, a big red "sold" sign has reappeared in front of each of these houses, even though most of them were actually sold over 6 months ago!

I even asked the "local retired lady who knows everything about everyone" whether these houses had been sold again recently to which her reply was "No, I would have known if Mrs X or Miss Y was moving!", after which she went into detail about how Miss Y's parents who live in a nearby village had forked out over £100k to help her buy...

Another "sign" that EAs are getting desperate. There was a news story awhile back where an EA got his staff to place "sold" signs in front of their own houses to generate a little propaganda. If I recall correctly, the EA was brought before the magistrates and fined.

Where I live an old working mens club has been knocked down to make way for a block of two bed apartments,

(an accurate visual metaphor I thought) at the moment it is just a pile of rubble, my wife just told me she walked past today and one of the local estate

agents has put a sold sign up there, laugh I nearly cried!
