I went over to Weybridge and Walton on Thames earlier this week to check out what the local prices are doing, as I am thinking about buying a detached property over there. I used to live there 10 years ago so I know that they are going to be pretty expensive.

I was hoping to find a good selection of properties coming on to the market but was told by all of the agents that I should have gone over there a month earlier as all of the property for sale seems to have been bought up. Some of the agents didn't have any properties suitable to show me! I am hoping to go over again when some more properties come on to the market.

I went to see one property yesterday and was told by the agent today that it has gone under offer at the full asking. :(

I only have this snapshot when I went over there this week so does anyone else have any further info on what is happening over in Weybridge.

There's been very little coming on the market for about a year now. A lot of houses around 900K that were on the market from summer 05 have suddenly sold. There's also been a lot of activity in the streets behind Waitrose in Weybridge.

Still a lot of houses up for rent now have been on the market since last summer too and as for flats......
