Another Good One For Comparison

Premier calls for rate cut.

Oooh, just testing. Bet Mr Blek was here first! :P

"NEW South Wales Premier Morris Iemma says the Commonwealth should look at a reduction in interest rates to help young homebuyers."

It beggars belief. How about:

"NEW South Wales Premier Morris Iemma says the Commonwealth should look at a reduction in alcohol taxes rates to help young alcoholics."

or:

"NEW South Wales Premier Morris Iemma says he is suprised at landing the job of premier, as he is clearly a f*ckwit of the highest order who doesnt realise that low interest rates and highhouse prices are linked?"

What is this obsession with knockers? There are at least 3 strings on this board tonight that mention Breasts. :o

Precisely Elizabeth - hence my headline grabber. Don't fret, its all those young testosterone filled FTB's joining us. However, I have thought that the mods should think of changing the name now that t*ts have taken over from house prices. T*ts R Us? I'm a girl by the way!

What he clearly fails to realise is that lowering IR tempts all the bulls into the market, not just the FTB. When you start trading a house as a stock and stop viewing it as a necessity, that's when shit hits the fan. Absolute madness.

The issue is a little more politically / economically complex than that. That whole state (NSW) is historically held up by building industry activity. Hence take out the building industry the whole house of cards falls down.
