Lombard - Prices To Go Up 10% This Year

Recommended Posts

I guess that Lombard have a vested interest, or perhaps one or more of their clients! So it really is different this time around!:lol:

Their prediction from this time last year:

UK house prices

Consensus said: house prices overvalued by up to 30%-40%.

We said: Interest rates of 4¾% will not lead to a house price crash: expect a stable market. "A crash in the housing market remains a distant prospect, with conditions simply not in place for a drastic fall in house prices" Feb 2005 QEF.

Outcome: House prices broadly flat in year to date.

I would agree with the outcome. But the consensus was never 30-40% overvalued.
