1st time renter

Just been reading in the property pages of the Andover Advertiser 'It is not valuation that drives up the market but the prices that are actually achieved. I remain convinced that property will see a five to seven percent rise in values this year but this will not come from over valuation. It's a gradual, market driven, process that will take the year to see out.'

I thought this was rather odd as I'm sure property in this area is beginning to fall (loads still on the market from last summer) then I noticed that this 'expert' is the 'Head of Residential with Dreweatt Neate'.

Before I discovered hpc I would have believed this sort of rubbish - I know better now

If our local paper told the truth they wouldn't get any advertising business from the estate agents.

Tons of houses coming on the market in Andover (5 have sprung up for sale within the last 10 days in my tiny cul-de-sac) be interesting to know if these people intend to 'move up', 'downsize' or are planning to rent.
