The market where I am is flat. I understand the market where you are is buoyant.

Here is a challenge. Using a property website for your area please select 10 properties over a range of asking prices that have come on the market this week. Identify these properties and then let us track them until sold.

Probably not a good idea...

There's too many loonies on here. It would not be fair on the vendors of the 10 properties IMO.

Below is my list of properties. I went to Rightmove and did a search for properties as follows:

Horsham, Within 1mile, Added in last 3 days (18 Feb 06).

The search showed 21 properties. The list below is simply every second property shown in the search.

How long will they take to sell (STC)?

Sounds a fair test, all in the name of fun and research - I'll use Rightmove and select 10 properties within 5 miles that have come on this week. I'll probably do this tomorrow, as I can't be bothered tonight.

Great ... but no cherry picking!

The method of selection is: n =number of properties in search results divided by 10. Then select every n'th property. Easy.

Let one side pick the properties and the other the properties. Then if we get bored we'll send in the lions.

Surely we are all aware that the most desireable properties - the ones that 'fly off the shelves' - don't even appear on websites. They go from estate agent to viewers via mailshot or email and are bought without the casual website browser even seeing it.
